Indeed, the best place to explore the good part of Thailand's distinctiveness is at the bi-annual Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair. Yet it is a superb location to see the latest and unique collections, find couture designers and producers in a venue alive with multimedia presentations, dazzling fashion shows, design awards and other special events.

Areas and Roads in Bangkok Affected by Floods

UPDATE : 29 October 2011

Both the Flood Relief Operations Center (FROC), Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA)
and related agencies are working around the clock to manage the flood situation that is threatening to affect even the innermost areas of the Thai capital.

Below are the lists of flood-affected areas in Bangkok and roads that have been closed off temporarily due to the
 widespread floods based on the information from the Metropolitan Police and various other sources.

Please also bear in mind that road closure situation could change constantly,

Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair operations unaffected

The Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA) wishes to announce that normal operations and preparations for the 49th Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair in February next year remain unaffected by the current floods situation in Thailand.

Presently, the Thai government and authorities are combatting severe flooding in several provinces in Central Thailand that witnessed an unusually large amount of deluge of northern flood water.   Although certain areas of outer Bangkok are experiencing different degrees of flood, the inner Bangkok city area, where the Jewelry Trade Center building, where the TGJTA is located, are unaffected thus far.  

Therefore, the TGJTA, the organizer of the upcoming 49th BGJF, wishes to inform all international participants and exhibitors that the BGJF organizer office to remains opening with normal operations.  Furthermore, the TGJTA will post up any updates in regards to the flooding situation which may affect the BGJF as soon as possible.

Fair Regulations for Security Purposes

The Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair, as an international-class fair that showcases high value gems and jewelry exhibits, reserves the right to erect certain dress code and security measures for patrons attending the fair. 

           

                                          

 

Remark :
1.Fair Dress Code: Smart Casual. Please dress appropriately for BGJF; wearer of shorts, open shoes orslippers will not be allowed entry.   

2.Children below the age of 15 are not allowed inside BGJF exhibition area.
( We have the Kid's corner for take care of your children ) 

3.Smoking in the fairground is prohibited. 

4.Unauthorized photo or video shooting in the venue is prohibited. 

5.All weapons are prohibited. 

6.No pet.
